Orientation day one of two down.

I'm going to be spending the next three years stuck in a perpetual state of stress with a whole bunch of people that are much like me...except "type a" personalities.

Boys and girls...this is going to be rough.

I sat down in the back row of my section, and right in front of me were a group of three people who had never met before, sitting right next to each other (it seems that most people typically skip chairs if there's space...and there was plenty of space).

This one bitch with an underbite who talked like her jaw didn't hinge was talking about her four worthless degrees (you know, the kind where you have to go to grad school to make them useful). Her sole purpose in their conversation was to keep everyone else talking as little as possible so she could talk the most.

Someone commented about probably not being able to remember her name, which she was clearly prepared for with a joke about that being okay, her dad accidently called her by her dogs name a short while ago...and needless to say there were problems at home after that.

Either she says that in response to that all the time, or she prepared and rehearsed it before. Both equally I *think* it was some kind of joke...but I can't remember any actual punchline.

Then there was a guy in my little six person tour section who was the typical "I'm gonna be your new best friend" kind of guy that kept inquiring about everyone. I'm trying to start off being good, otherwise I would have just answered his questions and not responded back with any of my own.

Then he started referencing John Grisham novels.

Just as an example of how prevalent the douchebaggery is amongst law students, the Dean of Student Services was talking about how if there are any questions, that they're purpose is to be there to help the students. Then she told everyone that they shouldn't rely too much on their friends for advice, because "most of you sound more authoritative than you should about things that you don't know much about."
